Responsibilities

THE THERAPIST JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE for our Full Time IOP, 2nd shift (12:30-8:30pm) Addiction Counselor, in person in our Lutherville-Timonium, MD location:

  • Provides case management services which support a positive treatment outcome.
  • Serves as therapist in IOP and continued care groups, as well as provide individual therapy as needed for SUD and/or mental health disorders.
  • Organizes and makes educational presentations related to behavioral health and recovery.
  • Develop patient-centered treatment plans based on results from the screening tools and bio psychosocial assessment.
  • Collaborates with medical staff and treatment team as a whole. 
  • Consults with family members and referral sources in order to coordinate patient care.
  • Ensures adequate case management services are identified and addressed.
  • Responsible for maintaining electronic health records which include documentation of treatment activity and progress.
  • Ensures that patient records are accurate, comprehensive and meets regulatory standards.
  • Evening hours 12:30-8:30p

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:  (Therapist) 

  • Must hold one of the following types of licenses in the state in which services will be provided:
    1. LMSW: Licensed Master Social Worker
    2. LGSW: Licensed Graduate Social Worker
    3. LGPC: Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
    4. LGADC: Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor
    5. LCPC: Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
    6. LCSW-C: Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Certified
    7. LICSW: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
    8. LPC: Licensed Professional Counselor
    9. LSATP: Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner
    10. LCADC: Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor
  •  
  • A minimum of three years supervised counseling experience.
  • Strong administrative, verbal and written communication skills
REQUIREMENTS: SUD Counselor
  • ADT: Alcohol and Drug Trainee 
  • CAC-AD: Certified Associate Alcohol and Drug Counselor 
  • CAC-I: Certified Addictions Counselor I 
  • CAC-II: Certified Addictions Counselor II 
  • CSAC: Certified Substance Abuse Counselor 
  • CSC-AD: Supervised Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: If disclosed that the staff is in recovery from alcohol and drug dependency a minimum of five years continuous sobriety is required.
