We are currently in search of an experienced Specialty Group Addiction Counselor for our Columbia, MD location.The Specialty Group Addiction Counselor at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and all its subsidiaries ("Kolmac" or the "Company") is responsible for administering high quality clinical therapeutic services for specialty groups. By ensuring the services we provide are client and family centered healing approaches while delivering goal specific interventions. The ideal candidate will be innovative and committed to learning and developing their counseling skill, while being invested in patient care and brings a solution-focused attitude and outlook.

Responsibilities

  • 2nd Shift / M-F / 12:30PM-8:30PM
  • Rotating Saturday group facilitation 9am-12pm. One time per month. Virtual Group only
  • Provide high quality clinical therapeutic services for specialty groups, that may include population, men’s, women’s, trauma, and grief but not limited to these topics
  • Ensure services are provided with client-centered and family-centered healing approach and is delivered through goal specific interventions
  • Conduct initial interviews and provide a written assessment
  • Regularly assess treatment progress with the client, and/or the clinical treatment team
  • Provide the appropriate documentation for service delivery including treatment goals, progress notes and billing and submit said documentation as specified by Medicaid, Medicare and CARF standards
  • Ensure compliance with governing agency and reporting requirements
  • Maintain the clinical records and compile documentation required by CCBH and governing agencies
  • Participate in staff meetings, program clinical team meetings, therapy clinical supervision sessions and in-service as required. Understand and support the CCCB philosophy and treatment modalities
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding client records, treatment and client information
  • Exhibit clear, professional, respectful and effective communication when interfacing with clients, coworkers, families and external contacts
  • Ability to work independently and implementing time management and productivity strategies
  • Exhibit a high degree of ethical conduct, integrity and confidentiality
  • Stay current with updated research and best practices

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling psychology or clinically related field required
  • 3 to 5 years administering specialty groups with a primary focus on addiction treatment
  • Active and in good standing in the state of Maryland
  • Must be experienced and proficient in using an electronic health record system

Licenses required:

  • LG, LPC, LSW, LCSW, ADT with Masters, CAC with Masters or a MSW with the state of Maryland

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $35 a hour to $44 a hour. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, licensure, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
