What You’ll Do 

As a Mental Health Therapist at Kolmac, you will be at the center of patient care—building strong therapeutic relationships and delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment. You’ll lead therapy groups, facilitate individual sessions, and contribute to integrated treatment plans within our collaborative treatment environment.  

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

As a Mental Health Therapist at Kolmac, you will be at the center of patient care—building strong therapeutic relationships and delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment. You’ll lead therapy groups, facilitate individual and family sessions, and contribute to integrated treatment plans within our innovative outpatient, and intensive outpatient settings. 

 

Clinical Responsibilities Include: 

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations and diagnostic screenings using DSM-V criteria. 
    • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. 
    • Provide direct care through evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions. 
    • Deliver clinical interventions grounded in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, trauma-informed care, and other best-practice modalities. 
    • Facilitate case management sessions, including treatment goal setting, discharge planning, and collaboration with referral sources and external providers. 
    • Educate clients on mental health conditions, treatment options, recovery strategies, and coping skills. 
    • Coordinates care for all appropriate support services, including referral sources, family members, and other support providers. 
    • Participate actively in treatment team meetings to review client progress and coordinate holistic care. 
    • Provide crisis intervention and participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support patients in crisis after hours, as needed. 
    • Maintain accuratetimely clinical documentation in alignment with organizational, state, and CARF standards. 
    • Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other providers to meet the co-occurring psychiatric and substance use needs of patients. 
    • Develop and maintain a therapeutic alliance that is collaborative, individualized, and adaptable to evolving clinical needs. 
    • Promote the organization’s image in a professional, supportive, and educational manner within the community and with referral partners. 
    • Stay informed on current clinical practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in the behavioral health field. 
    • Demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence, as measured by outcomes such as patient retention, treatment goal achievement, successful program completion, and transitions between levels of care. 
    • Obtain necessary secondary signatures on documentation from licensed supervisors when applicable. 
    • Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Must Haves: 

  • Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience providing mental health treatment 
  • Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field 
  • DC - LPC, LMFT, LICSW
  • Strong working knowledge of CBT, M-CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care 
    EMDR experience is highly preferred 
  • Comfort using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) 
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and professional growth

Salary Range:  
Up to $85,000 annually
